Unique Manufacturing:

The Telford system is manufactured on a Telford Processing Line, similar to what Henry Ford did for the motor industry. Building components are produced at rapid speeds and excellent tolerances by equipment developed by Telford to facilitate any large project.

Manufacturing Facilities:
The Telford Processing Lines are taylor-made to suit the country requirements from 5 homes per day, to 400 homes per day.

Step 1 : K-Pod Foundations

BASIC FACTS:

• No need to excavate simply means overnight rainfall is no longer a concern.
• Absolute accuracy when ordering steel and concrete.
• North to south, and east to west vibrated beams means internal walls can be placed anywhere on K-Pod slab on ground.
• Very fast installation.
• The methodology of installing will not allow termites to enter the building.
• Ideal for peat or unstable soil conditions as the dead load weight is low.
• A genuine floating slab means cost savings, accuracy, fast and tidy.
• Steel guaranteed to be in the correct position.
• Absolute minimum formwork required around the thickened edge beam.
• Starter bars tie the thickened ground edge beam K-Pod slab
into the walls and the bond-beams to complete the Diaphragm construction.
• Fully engineered raft slab design.

Step 2 : T-Block exterior & interior walling

BASIC FACTS:

• A standard T-Block is 4.8m long x 600mm high. Its equivalent to 260 bricks in dimension. However, installation of one T-Block takes just under ten seconds.
• A standard T-Block weigh only 24 Kg.
• The Telford system is only 635 Kg/m3 compared to 3600 Kg/m3 with conventional construction.
• A 200 series T-Block has a thermal resistance (R-value) of 40, meaning only small air-conditioners are required. Concrete/masonry block has a poor R-value of only 0.2. T-Block works the same in cold or fluctuating temperature zones.
• Maintenance and electricity will be massively reduced for the owner.
• An improvement in sound resistance will be noted.
• Light-weight to transport in large volumes.
• T-Blocks are waterproof and fire resistant.
• T-Blocks are not bio-degradable, making it an ideal permanent building.
• Telford composite materials protect all structural elements from weather.
• T-Block can be recycled and easy to renovate.
• T-Blocks have a significant high green footprint compared to concrete.
• T-Blocks can be made to practically any dimension and shape.
• T-Blocks offer flexibility in design, installation, use, and end user benefits.

•   The insulation value of a T-Block is permanent.
• T-Block has an approval certification from British Standards.
• T-Block has been specified on private and government projects.
• T-Block has a very Low Dead Load Weight of 635 Kg/m3 whereas reinforced concrete has a dead load weight of 3,600 Kg/m3.
• T-Block is cyclonic rated for 240 k/m hr wind loads.
•   The engineering is designed by the structural engineer who wrote the Australian government building code for hollow masonry blocks.
• T-Block is dispatched ex-factory pre-plastered with a polymer modified mineral reinforced base coating.
•   In most applications including cyclonic only N6 reinforcing rods are necessary to the vertical cores and Y12 to the bond-beams.

Step 3 : T-Floor deck

BASIC FACTS:

• T-Floor Deck insures easy fast installation.
• T-Floor Deck is insulated, driving heat down to the K-Pod foundation via the wall capillaries.
• T-Floor Deck is engineered to the Australian standards/building code.
• T-Floor Deck allows for essentially 65mm concrete floor topping plus the selected floor finishes.
• Minimum volume of concrete and reinforcing steel required.
• T-Floor Deck requires minimum props allowing finishing work to be completed at any time.

Step 4 : T-roof deck

BASIC FACTS:

• T-Roofing is permanently insulated.
• T-Roof is waterproof and fire resistant.
• T-Roof prevents heat from entering the property.
• For cyclonic wind load conditions, T-Roof has a concrete topping (similar to the T-Floor Deck).
• T-Roof ties into the columns, beams, walls, floor, and foundation to provide a full Diaphragm system build construction .
